建筑案例——Tempor(E)Alities: An Urban Palimpsest
Google is a vast digital database and archive, storing histories and pasts, ephemeral and temporal conditions. It is an archive of multi-layered and interconnected information where these 2D information is juxtaposed onto a 3D environment (Google Earth), to be accessed through the interface of the screen of our phones. This creates a sharp disjunction between the accessibility of information.
Infinite Demand envisions a new type of skyscraper in New York that unlike its existing counterparts, can keep up with the changing needs of the city through achieving flexibility by displacing the core of the building and its essential services into the skin, allowing for variable floor heights and reprogrammable floor usage.
建筑案例——Inhabitable Skins: Generating Horizontal Layers Of Reality
The project discusses about the envelope of a building in effect should not be an absolute barrier between interior and exterior, it should generate heterogeneous spaces for a diversity of activities. The spaces within, around, and outside the twist can be open, semi-open, enclosed or incorporated into the existing building, stand out from it, be independent, be multi-programmed or even unprogrammed.
The project sets her datum in Midtown’s Diamond District-an area almost all out of air rights and cast in constant shadow from her towering developments. A proposed hotel in the district is re-imagined over 47th Street.
建筑案例——Beyond The Streets
Beyond The Streets

建筑案例——New Narrative In Athens_ The School Of Soil
This project utilises abandoned lands and buildings in Athens. They mainly consist of neoclassical buildings on one hand, and on the other, the empty land and residue spaces between Polykatikias. These typologies are uniquely Athenian in character, and would hence be significant as new entry points to the ancient underground network.
In the context of an increasing environmental emergency caused by an inefficient way of dealing with garbage, how can architecture reclaim the infrastructure of waste, rewrite its current protocols and introduce it to the centre of Athens to make trash become an acknowledged benefit for its dwellers rather than a taboo?

The project responds to two unique urban conditions that have gradually manifested in Athens over the last few decades. Each condition represents a form of potential the project wishes to build upon.
建筑案例——Creator / Destroyer

Working on an artist’s studio leads first to question the identity of the three main protagonists : the artist, the spectator and the model. The project highlights the relationship between these three roles in the context of Marchmont Street and more specifically of the Community Garden.
建筑案例——Unprimed Canvas : The Deteriorating School For Conservation
As the unprimed canvas, locked and pinned throughout the Eroding Threshold deteriorates under several different conditions (TENSION, HUMIDITY, HEAT) over time, the project looks at the Boro (a traditional Japanese textile that has been mended together from loose fabric) and the Sashiko stitch as a means of re-inforcing the wear and tear in the canvas.

Sliding On The Slanted Bedrock
建筑案例——Throwing Long Bricks At Dutch Windows – A Strategy
Projects such as the Barcode (MVRDV) on Oslo harbor highlight a move towards architecture which favors fast and low cost at the expense of its context. It puts Oslo at risk of becoming a generic city which no longer reflects Norway’s past and present.
建筑案例——Through He Slow Labyrinth

建筑案例——Wanderlust: A Celebration Of Neoliberalist Consequences
Mexico City is a work-intensive, fast-paced mega-city, much of this quality being born from neoliberalist pressures from the US. The informality— and to a degree intimacy— of Mexico’s culture produces a stage for unexpected programmatic overlap, where everything can and is done on-the-go.

建筑案例——The Role Of The Architect, A Studio-In-Motion
The role of the architect should be defined through the studio. The nature of the architectural studio needs to change in order to suit the architect of today. The studio-in-motion traverses from south to north along the Prime Meridian Line and stops in 9 locations where section cuts which coincide with the line are made. Each design detail of this studio is resulted from the accumulative process of generating sections. The studio is a hybrid of all the sections collapsed into one space – three dimensionality from uni dimensionality. So architecture can be created starting from the line.
建筑案例——A Choreographed Timeline
The project proposes a new set of clauses in the RIBA Concise Building Contract introducing a natural alternative to demolition by accelerating the decaying process of the building to follow the organic ageing and decomposition rates based on human life expectancy.
建筑案例——Crossing The Line

建筑案例——City Of Birds : Wildlife And Infrastructural Preservation
Canal of Castile is an artificial canal that is located north of Spain. It is originally purposed to boost trade by allowing the transportation of wheat grain production from Castile to the northern harbor and other markets. Castile is the typical dryland and wheat farming region in Spain. But around the canal, there is a special ecosystem – which is Salt Marsh. When it rains, the soil prevents water from drainage and generates the salt marsh.

With a mass growth of urban population within Kathmandu over the past 50 years, the subject of land ownership is rising, consequently, with this blurring of ownership rights, the project seeks to respond with social history, food, culture and the time of the site, both the memory of the past and the integration of the future.

The Boudhanath Stupa is believed to be more than 1,000 years old, and is circumambulated clockwise by devoted followers throughout history. In 1979 since becoming a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it has also become a tourist destination with shops catering to international consumers. Many products sold there can be traced back to traditional Himalayan crafts. Hence, Boudhanath has become a heterogenous site of Spirituality, Commercialisation (Tourism) and Artistry/Craftsmanship.
The project is based on the essence of reproduction and reorganisation of a collectors private collection, in the need for change of an existing site in order to custom a new visitor for the future of Shatwell Farm as an exhibition space.

建筑案例——Intermediate 1 : Ludvig Holmen
The perspective is the humanist depiction of space. Before Brunelleschi’s invention, we had the Christian depiction of space. Yuval Noah Harari argues that we are, in a similar manor as the renaissance, experiencing a change of ideologies. We are moving into Dataism. I am exploring what the Dataist depiction of space would be.
建筑案例——Intermediate 1 : Mira Oktay
The project is about architecture being dictated by visual perception; how spaces are constructed depending on the way we see. It is about how we relate to each other through views, and its effects on us. The design tools used in the project makes architecture become an interface of how one sees another and how one is seen: where we stand, who we see, how much we see, and how much we are seen. Finally, Prospect & Refuge Theory is applied to the project by organizing sightlines in a space.
